Great Dane Rescue Inc. is excited to be a part of the Rescue Party Tour http://www.rescuepart... coming to the Bloor Cinema in Toronto on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:00 p.m.! From the site: "The Rescue Party Tour celebrates the human relationship with pets in ur society by telling the story of the Greatest Pet Rescue Ever. This unique Pet-centric will benefit local and national animal charities and bring to light current issues as they relate to the economy. The Rescue Party Tour will showcase local animal organizations and rescue groups, allowing them to raise awareness about all they do in their community. A VIP ticket will feature a meet and greet with the film-maker Tom McPhee beforehand, a signed poster, and $10 from every ticket will go back to local animal charities." Please join GDRI at Puppy Pawlooza in London, next weekend. We will be having our own booth and there are LOTS of fun activities planned. Please visit the website at pawlooza.com for more info.
Here is the description from the site: Puppy Pawlooza... the name says it all! It's a festival for dogs! We have a star-studded lineup of fun activities for you and your canine friend. Pawlooza has rows of vendors selling unique items for your dog and cat... many of Ontario's rescue organizations will be showcasing their furry friends that are up for adoption... there are free puppy trick classes, free dog obedience classes, free trick demos, free pet psychic demos, doggie dock diving, free agility demos, free pet nutrition demos, free first aid demos, and free dog safety demos for children. There are also food vendors, live music, a children's play and craft area... and lots of prizes, contests, free samples, a silent auction area, and more! Check out our events and contests page for more info. Pawlooza is a fundraising initiative by two not-for-profit organizations : the Animal Rescue Foundation and Leads. 1st Annual Bostoberfest to be held at Superdog Central in Bowmanville. It's being held on Sunday, October 4th and will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Entry is $10 per family.
This is will a great day out for the whole family. There will be a variety of dog sports (agility, flyball, dock dogs), indoor and outdoor play areas, games, contests, cool prizes, silent auction and raffle table, hot food and a bake sale, nail trims, goody bags for all families and more. This is going to be a spectacular day and will be worth the trip to Bowmanville. Please note that this event is limited to Boston Terriers and BT mixes, Pugs, Frenchies and other small breeds.
