A new community is forming in Markham. It's called Barkham and it all happens on Main Street Markham, Ontario during the Markham Village Music Festival
www.markham-festival.org
Take the kids for a dog cart ride, meet and greet various breeds of dogs. Experts will be on hand to discuss the breeds and provide advice. Learn about dog adoption and pet rescue organizations. Barkham is presented by Helping Homeless Pets, a not-for-profit formed to raise funds for all pet rescue organizations. Be part of the fun by entering your dog into the Barkham Canine Idol. Show off your best trick. (Your dog's best tricks as well.) Will your dog be the first Canine Idol? Win fabulous prizes.
Bring your dog to the Canadian Kennel Club Canine Good Neighbour Test area. See how your pet rates as a good neighbour, and get tips and coaching on helping them get better.
Bring the kids, meet some fabulous rescued dogs and learn the proper way to approach a strange dog.
All proceeds from this event go to Help Homeless Pets. For more information, please visit..

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to volunteer at this event. There is a poster on the webpage, you could print that and put it at vet offices, groomers and other places where dogs hang out.
See you then,
Rob
