A new community is forming in Markham. It's called Barkham and it all happens on Main Street Markham, Ontario during the Markham Village Music Festival
www.markham-festival.org

Take the kids for a dog cart ride, meet and greet various breeds of dogs. Experts will be on hand to discuss the breeds and provide advice. Learn about dog adoption and pet rescue organizations. Barkham is presented by Helping Homeless Pets, a not-for-profit formed to raise funds for all pet rescue organizations. Be part of the fun by entering your dog into the Barkham Canine Idol. Show off your best trick. (Your dog's best tricks as well.) Will your dog be the first Canine Idol? Win fabulous prizes.

Bring your dog to the Canadian Kennel Club Canine Good Neighbour Test area. See how your pet rates as a good neighbour, and get tips and coaching on helping them get better.

Bring the kids, meet some fabulous rescued dogs and learn the proper way to approach a strange dog.

All proceeds from this event go to Help Homeless Pets. For more information, please visit..

www.helpinghomelesspets.com

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to volunteer at this event. There is a poster on the webpage, you could print that and put it at vet offices, groomers and other places where dogs hang out.

See you then,
Rob
p.s. There is no admission fee for Barkham and all proceeds from the event go to Helping Homeless Pets

This is the Grand Opening of a New Pet facility in the DVP / Eglinton Area. Proceeds are going to support 'Speaking Of Dogs' Rescue. This is a fantastic rescue. I do believe you can bring your dog to this one, however, contact petopia to get the details. The event actually runs from 11:00 - 5:00 on both Sat and Sun.

You can find out more about this event by visiting http://www.petopia.ca/invitation.html

Please email info@petopia.ca to RSVP and also RSVP on this group so others can see who is attending.

This event is a Fashion Show to support Canadian Dachshund Rescue. Since many dachshunds do not get along well with other breeds, I would ask you not to bring your dog, unless of course you have a dachsie.

Please RSVP for this event on this group, so others can see who is attending.

For more information, see http://dachshund.meetup.com/16/events/4841863/

This event is a walk-a-thon to support Canine Rescue. It's seems like a good place to hold Toronto's First Meetup of all Dog Meetup Groups.

This event is being held at Rowntree Mills Park in Etobicoke (Islington Avenue, north of Finch Avenue West)

I can't set the venue for this in WHERE since the park doesn't have a postal code or phone #

Here's a link with more info about the park:

Pledge Forms can be loaded from the rescue walk website(http://www.rescuemewalk.com) or if you like you can make a donation at the walk.
