 This meetup group is for "pet parents" who love and treat their dogs as part of the family, and are looking for events and activities where both dogs and humans can socialize and enjoy themselves. If you love dogs (whether you have one or not), feel free to attend our meetups and meet other fellow dog lovers! Our activities include hiking/walking on dog-friendly trails, group meetups at dog-friendly parks,  as well as any other dog friendly activity we can think of!

The Purpose of this group is to raise awareness and money to help minimize unnecessary euthanasia of pets through Yappy Hours, pet FUNdraisers and more. Our goal is to to prevent pets being euthanized and provide opportunities pets in rescue and shelters to find good homes. FAAS is a volunteer group of animal lovers who work at the AAS to help facilitate adoptions and rescues from the shelter. The goal of FAAS is to increase our live release rate to over 90%. We have many programs to accomplish this. Low cost spay/neuter, education, networking, fosters, TNR, adoptions and much more!

We want to provide a network in which people who foster ,have fostered ,adopted, own a pug,or plan to adopt to meetup and share their experience in fostering /adopting/owning a precious pug from DFWPR. No personal pugs/dogs allowed at the adoption events. Adoption events are held at Petsmart and some other locations and we will post these as a note not a meetup.

We maintain that the use of animals needs to stop; animals have a right to their own lives. We are vegan, but anyone is welcome to come to the group to find out more about us or to help with rescue efforts. Care about the current conditions as they impact animals?
