Garland Pawsibilities (Garland Bark Park) was originally established in 2005 to garner public support for the building of an off lead enclosed dog park for the northeast Dallas County area. Interest for a fenced park wained as the City would not committ land for a park right away..but instead of doing away with GBP, the volunteers wanted to continue working with the City Shelter to help get as many dogs and cats adopted as possible. The Purpose of this group is to raise awareness and money to help minimize unnecessary euthanasia of pets through Yappy Hours, pet FUNdraisers and more. Our goal is to to prevent pets being euthanized and provide opportunities pets in rescue and shelters to find good homes. We are expanding and adding new and experienced volunteers to our growing organization. We are seeking adult volunteers to help manage programs and build our organization.  This meetup group is for "pet parents" who love and treat their dogs as part of the family, and are looking for events and activities where both dogs and humans can socialize and enjoy themselves. If you love dogs (whether you have one or not), feel free to attend our meetups and meet other fellow dog lovers! Our activities include hiking/walking on dog-friendly trails, group meetups at dog-friendly parks,  as well as any other dog friendly activity we can think of!

We want to provide a network in which people who foster ,have fostered ,adopted, own a pug,or plan to adopt to meetup and share their experience in fostering /adopting/owning a precious pug from DFWPR. No personal pugs/dogs allowed at the adoption events. Adoption events are held at Petsmart and some other locations and we will post these as a note not a meetup.

My Basset Hound, Jackson, is such a joy. I would like to meet others who enjoy their Basset(s) just as much as I do. Of course for Jackson to meet other Bassets in the DFW area too.
